Josh Collins and Grand Island Entertainment are proud of Season 10's nominations. Now that we have the votes for the nominees, how about we go for the winning votes!!
BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN:
FOUL KARMA:
The dark poster sets the tone for this dark film. Matt Damon and Samuel L. Jackson dominate with intensity in their faces. That's only the poster. The production values in the film(cinematography, lighting, sound, etc) make the film worthy of the technical awards.
MOST WANTED SEQUEL:
L.A. WOLF
Our first feature to be nominated for the most wanted sequel, L.A. Wolf may very well have a few more adventures up its sleeves.
BEST CAST:
WOODLAND CREATURES
Ben Stiller, Amy Adams, Seth Rogen, Vince Vaughn, Jon Hedur, Jaden Smith, Makenzie Vega, Ellen Page, Michael Clark Duncan and Chris Tucker made the film hilarious with the way they played the animals they were portraying. You could not get anymore sillier than humans dressed as animals. A great mockery of not only the recent outpour of animated woodland-creature films, but also a social satire.
BEST STARRING COUPLE:
FOUL KARMA-MATT DAMON/SAMUEL L. JACKSON
The intense two actor horror/thriller was perfectly acted by the leads. A rarity in horrors these days.
BEST VILLAIN
FOUL KARMA: SAMUEL L. JACKSON
Some may have been rooting for him in the audience, others may have been hating his harsh treatment to his uninvited guest. But he was a heartbroken man seeking retribution and death. He saw himself as the hero in his story, even if he cut off half of Matt Damon's dick.
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:
WOODLAND CREATURES, CHECK PLEASE, WEIGH ANCHOR
We dominate the supporting actress category this time around. Amy Adams earns her first GMA nomination in the funny Woodland Creatures. She was cute, sexy, manipulative and very funny as Farrah Foxette.
Joan Cusack plays a crazy single mother with multiple children who she brings on her blind date with. She breast feeds all of them, even the older ones, she can't remember the fathers of half of her children, she is someone you would never want to have on a blind date. I'd take Maggie Smith's making out with a dog over her anyday.
Michelle Williams plays a woman who has a husband serving in the war. She is pregnant and has the baby without her husband seeing it born. She gets closer to JGL's character in the film and nearly seduses him.
BEST ACTOR:
JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT: A pianist who travels home to deal with the demons of his family in the midst of a parental "trial separation" tormented by his past and his present. He's more dead than alive, those around him growing up and moving on with their lives while he feels stuck in one place.

Check, Please: Promotional Interview

Joan Cusack was available to take a radio interview by a local radio station to promote the upcoming comedy inspired by the play, Check, Please. The Radio DJ is known as the DJ.
DJ:
Thanks for taking a few minutes to talk to us, Joan.
JOAN:
My pleasure. I didn't really have anything better to do.
(laughs)
DJ:
So this is a pretty exciting film for you to do, we haven't seen you in anything from CMP since the Season 2 flop, Don't Stand So Close to Me'
JOAN:
Yeah, and I appreciate the theme song you guys gave me before coming out here. Playing that Police song. But yeah, I was a little worried that that film would end my short CMP career. But my brother has made himself a huge name in the studio despite his own flops.
DJ:
The writer, Josh Collins hand picked the cast and came up with a decent amount of funny actors. Anna Faris, Paul Rudd, Drew Barrymore, Jason Lee, famously known now as Earl Hickey. Ice Cube and the very good looking Kristen Bell of 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' do you feel like you fit in with the cast?
JOAN:
I've done comedy my whole career. I don't consider myself very funny, but an art to comedy is not to try to be funny and you'll surprise yourself. I was honored Josh chose me to be one of the blind dates. He told me he always liked my work. Then he told me what the role I have was.
DJ:
Can you talk about it?
JOAN:
I'm one of those crazy single mothers and I have eight kids. I desperately need a man to step up to the plate and help me out. I bring the kids on the date because no babysitter will watch them. My family has a bit of a reputation. At the restaurant, the kids are out of control and I spend the entire date breastfeeding the baby.
DJ:
Ugh, bet that was awkward!
JOAN:
Breastfeeding the baby wasn't too awkward. At the time I wasn't producing milk, so I'm sure for the baby it was awkward. The awkwardness was breastfeeding the oldest child, a 10 year old, which makes Paul Rudd's character get up and leave.
(laughs)
JOAN:
All I know is, I'm not going to let my sons watch my part in the movie. That's borderline child abuse.
(laughs)
DJ:
So your character has some issues. You put Octimom to shame.
JOAN:
Exactly. You think Octimom is crazy, meet the no-age limit breastfeeder.
(laughs)
DJ:
Now this is a different kind of film from the usual CMP releases. It's inspired by a stage play of the same name.
JOAN:
Yes, it's more theatrical like a play. There have been a few films that are like it. Like Doubt for instance. It's one location, the restaurant and dialogue heavy like a stage play. Every segment goes for about 10 minutes.
DJ:
We hope this film gives you more jobs at CMP, Joan.
JOAN:
Thank you for having me!
DJ:
Check, Please is coming to theaters soon. It stars the lovely charming Drew Barrymore, Paul Rudd and includes a stellar supporting cast consists of Jason Lee, Ice Cube, Ana Faris and of course, Joan Cusack whom you just heard!
COMING SOON: FOUL KARMA
Yes, the title looks pulled out of a hat, but Matt Kubrick and I are proud to bring you the two actor thriller/drama/horror: Foul Karma. If you have seen the Ellen Page/Patrick Wilson film, Hard Candy, you have Foul Karma but with a home invader instead of a pedo. It brings up question as to who the true villain of the story is, audience sympathizing with both characters who consider themselves victims in the story. Midnight Movies produces, Matt Kubrick directs and we hope with the cast behind it that we could pull off a victorious box office.
Matt Damon has been making a career out of breaking and entering into homes and businesses. But he may want to consider a less dangerous profession when he breaks into Samuel L. Jackson's home. You'll be flinching and shielding your eyes at the horrors Jackson bestows upon his invader during a brutal house arrest. As the film progresses you realize he's not just a psycho having a bad day.

What Goes Around
Bob Felton's update about the lost movies had me set to defend a few things. What Goes Around. The original film was a revenge torture film. The children in the film were grown, young college-aged. They basically spend the whole movie confronting their horribly abusive father and tormenting him to near death. The film's camera work was supposed to be filmed handheld, like my previous handheld movie, 'The Dead Walk' and if you've seen the Ellen Page/Patrick Wilson film 'Hard Candy' it was meant to have that similar intense feel. The handheld camera thing was meant to be a reminder of certain things he did to the children when they were younger. Filming himself and them...well you figure that part out. But filming it is another mean of getting revenge, filming him being tormented. It sort of makes the victims the villain, but at the same time, victimizing the true villain, like Hard Candy.
I can understand Stark's reasoning behind the cancellation. After the film's cancellation, it would eventually become the upcoming release 'Foul Karma' but with different characters. Staying true to the torment and doing away with the abused child background.
Enjoy L.A. Wolfe, everyone!
