What Goes Around

Bob Felton's update about the lost movies had me set to defend a few things. What Goes Around. The original film was a revenge torture film. The children in the film were grown, young college-aged. They basically spend the whole movie confronting their horribly abusive father and tormenting him to near death. The film's camera work was supposed to be filmed handheld, like my previous handheld movie, 'The Dead Walk' and if you've seen the Ellen Page/Patrick Wilson film 'Hard Candy' it was meant to have that similar intense feel. The handheld camera thing was meant to be a reminder of certain things he did to the children when they were younger. Filming himself and them...well you figure that part out. But filming it is another mean of getting revenge, filming him being tormented. It sort of makes the victims the villain, but at the same time, victimizing the true villain, like Hard Candy.

I can understand Stark's reasoning behind the cancellation. After the film's cancellation, it would eventually become the upcoming release 'Foul Karma' but with different characters. Staying true to the torment and doing away with the abused child background.

Enjoy L.A. Wolfe, everyone!
