RUMOR HAS IT:

From Wild Things to Board Breaking: Max Records, the star of the current number one movie 'Where the Wild Things Are' is being considered for a role in Collins' pitch: Board Breaker, about a lonely bullied child who finds solace in Karate. This was that personal story we were talking about last update inspired by Collins' real experiences as a kid training in a Dojo. We know it will be tough to not imagine the Karate Kid, but it manages to stay out of Karate Kid territory.

Another Picoult Inspired Masterpiece: Jodi Picoult penned the story titled 'Nineteen Minutes' about a high school shooting. Collins has been wanting to write a story about a high school shooting and found his idea was close to Picoult's idea, so instead of ripping her off, he's decided to loosely base his screenplay on the book. Some characters and events are similar to 19 Minutes, but Collins incorporates his own ideas. Collins has used Picoult as a muse for a previous screenplay 'Change of Heart'

While on the subject of books, Josh Collins has been considering a book adaptation of Mark Haddon's 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime'

and we all know from past information on the blog that Josh is also adapting 'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon'
