Rumor has it 10/22/09

No shoots for school shooting: Our School Shooting idea has been the latest film to end up on the NO list. It was known to hit way too close to home for a lot of people, especially those who have been victimized or know someone involved in a shooting at school. CMP also didn't want to be responsible for negative influences on potential shooters seeking revenge on their school.
Our other film to end up on the chopping block was 'What Goes Around' where teens/young adults filmed the torture to their once abusive father.

With school shootings out of the way, we do have more important films to tackle. Two films in particular tackle the idiocy of the judicial system. One film puts an innocent man in jail just because he shares the same name with a serial killer. Thiis film was thought up during the wake of many news stories about innocent people being put in jail an left for days, weeks, even years for the very fact that they had the same name as the criminal.
The other film tackles the fact that if a criminal breaks into your house and hurts himself, he can sue you. This film is loosely based on a real story of a guy who tried to break into a house, killed himself in the process and his family sued or tried to sue the victimized family.

Our Family/Animation department confirms that we do have a few family oriented movies down the line. A stop motion remake of the Wind in the Willows, an animated film about a superhero cat mistakenly thought to be a regular housecat, put in the care of a human.
Another family movie, but more of a family drama is The Orphan Train.
