Season 11 GMAs

They're almost here again. With a week left to hit the 30 movies limit of the season. We want to remind you of our films of the season and what to look for if you need help inspiring votes.

FIREFLIES IN THE JELL-JARS:
Received critical acclaim and a big happy smiley cookie. The poster design was fabulous, the casting, acting, direction, starring couple(Abbie Breslin and Daniel-Day Lewis) and it's also an original film. Could you please give Collins another chance to get a GMA writing award? We haven't had one of those since our 'two-fer' Lyra and Velcro in Season 7's edition. Dare we go as far as to promote the hell out of it by calling it best pic quality?

GOLDMINE KILLERS:
Ok, we put a little too much faith into this production. It wasn't well received, was forgotten by audiences even with Angelina Jolie's name. It was a good cast but some pretty flat characters are what most of the critics said. If we get any award at all for this film we'd be lucky.

EARTH 3K
It had a decent box office, but a lot of the critics didn't agree with the ending. They didn't quite like it, but I felt it was a good concept. Not every film is going to be brilliantly done. It's not the kind of movie looking for awards, but we have to mention it because well, we made it. It was nice to not have it based on another medium though.

THE ROCK STAR:
Not yet released, we're not expecting a big box office, but we hope the critics will like it. That's happened a lot to us. We thought we'd get good critical reception and a bad box office but usually that's not always the case. We're hoping to score some 'good cast' writing, direction, acting awards. Starring couple Kate Beckinsale and Jeff Bridges. This too could be a major contender for best picture.
